Ohhh You’re Gonna Love This!!

i have finally figured out why the cats sooo love to get up here in front of the desk and curl up against my monitor/tv. on top of all my papers and other crap. apparently the flat panel does give off just enuff heat that they’re sensitive too, but i’m not.  sisters Emily and Charlotte have deigned it the perfect place for a little cat bath!!  the shots speak for themselves!!

tv n a bath

dirty paw

and big sister Emily puts as much effort into keeping Charlotte clean as she does herself.  as a matter of fact, sfe’s so fastidious that if i’m anywhere near, she’ll give my face a good cleaning too!! lol

mom always said to get behind ur ears and back of your neck....

emily's turn

and what’s bathtime without a little play?

don’t forget between the toes!!

let's play!

is my face clean?

all done!  don’t they look stunning??!

Oh the Cuteness!!!!!

she almost looks like she's smiling!

remember a few weeks ago when i had the great kitty transport?  well these two i had initially found a home for, only to have them back out.  😦  their decision meant great joy for me, tho!  these two have been in isolation for awhile to make sure they are all healthy, and now they are out and having an absolute ball!

you can't say it enuff....ohhhh the cuteness!!

they say these days that female orange tabbies aren’t that common.  i don’t know why.  i had one when i was a child, but that’s what they say, and so i wonder how come they are in scottish folds.  these two girls aren’t pure scottish folds tho.  but who cares?  they are sooooooooo damn cute!!

and affectionate!  it’s just so sweet are affectionate they are, and with big big purrs in those little bodies!  you can’t help but melt!  their expressions with those ears are just priceless as well!  they may look like they are grimacing worried, or uncertain, but their motors tell all!  pet them!  cuddle them!!  they’ll take it all!

just can't get enuff of those faces! and the whiskers!!

and what beautiful little girls they are too!  hard to tell apart tho!  there’s one give away, altho i always have to look for it!!  one of their tales has a white tip!  other than that, they are like yin and yang!  go everywhere together; stick together.  one is never very far from the other!

the one difference that helps you tell them apart! the white tip on one of their tales!

i’m still unceratain as to what to name them, altho at this point, i will admit that I”m leaning towards Charlotte and Emily Ann after the three Bronte sisters.  the authors weren’t scottish, but irish.  close enuff for me!

these cute little floofy girls sure are entertaining and when they are pooped. the come and join u wherever u happen to be resting.  very social little girls full of love, affection, and an overall zest for life!!

i do have them advertised, altho no one has responded.  can u believe that?  (no one has responded to brigett’s ad or pixie the american eskimo dog we have in rescue either.  what is up with that??!!  kinda sprised! )  meanwhile, i will enjoy their company fully!!

i just love those little ears and expressions!!

such affectionate little girls!

taking their picture can be a challenge tho!  as they don’t hold still for long at all!  i was so lucky that they were curious enuff about that camera that i acutally got a few good shots.  altho noteworthy, they talk to each other.  if one strays far from the other, they will call out to each other to find one another.  it’s totally adorable!!  to me just more proof that they are twins!!

hold still for the camera little girl! errgh!

and so the secret is finally out.  sally!  you can exhale now! LOL

The Burns Clan

initially we were gonna call em the Great Scotts, but i prefer Burns.  these little tykes are claimed to be a mix of scottish fold.  the folks that handed them over, also had another girl in the litter but someone lay claim to her. just hope she got a really good home.  the one missing, allegedly has the folded ears.  regardless, the three that came in are pretty cute!  i posted a teaser last night, and while i meant to take more pics, i’ve been a bit under the weather today.  when they first got here, they was stinky of poop and pee so they got a bath.

Alban

Brigid

Jett

despite initial hissing, i remained unscathed thru the entire process of bathing the three.  it is apparent that they haven’t been handled alot, and are a touch feral.  Jett exhibits this the most.  so far, Alban has warmed up the quickes to me, and Brigid is still a bit cool, but getting warmer.  Brigid has managed to rush the door when it opens twice now and has sent me on a wild goose chase.  not easy to do when u have at least 3 curious dogs and one dog in the way of you trying to pursue.  none of the critters would ever hurt her tho, and both times i eventually managed to nab her during a course of hissing.

Alban and Brigid have obiously been eating.  i’m not as certain about Jett.  he seems to have spent most of the day hiding in a small drawer in the vanity cubbard of the bathroom.  tonight i went in and got him, swaddled him in a warm blanket, and brought him out for awhile.  (that’s one of the suggestions made when reading up on socializing feral kitties).  at least this time the poor little man wasn’t shaking, and even tho he didn’t purr, he did start to fall asleep during my scratching of his neck, whiskers and head.

Jett earlier tonight

he still looks a bit stressed, but not nearly as wired as he was last night.  last night…if looks could kill! lol  still cracks me up looking at that picture.  well we shall continue to work on socializing this little man, and hopefully in a few more days i’ll have him purring.  that’s my goal!  and thank goodness, they smell ALOT better!!
