i’ve been in contact with a few rescues for this guy, but they are all full! and unfortunately, a trailer park kitty don’t always take precedence especially at kitten season. the local rescue that i favor, is dealing with a ring worm outbreak, so they aren’t able to take him currently.
i have to say, this photo really doesn’t do him justice. he’s got beautiful green eyes and such a pink nose! the kind of nose that is meant to be kissed and adored! granted…i really dunno the sex, but am just assuming Catsanova is a he. that’s the vibe i get. the dirty spots and matts just break my heart!
look at those beautiful colors! i can just see the cat that he was meant to be! not outside curled up in some partially torn down trailer! not sleeping on shreds of insulation! (yeah not sure just exactly how safe that is for him either)
it just breaks my heart! he won’t let me very close at all. the steps where i place the canned food are at least a good 20 feet from where he’s perched here. i just wanna grab him and love on him!
it’s apparent once it’s darker, he goes out and prowls, but i can see him back here taking refuge when i leave for work in the morning, and then he’s still hanging out when i come back at night. i wonder if he’s fought off the other kitties to stake this place as his?
i thought about placing an ad in the local paper to see if anyone, fellow cat lover extraordinaire, was out there that was willing to take on a project. i just know that if she were here in the area, the temp foster of Sherlock would go for it, but she won’t be back until snow’s falling. argh!
patience. it’s not always my top virtue. when it comes to kitties like this, i just wanna get them into safety now! …sigh
